Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB) has awarded a £1.2 million contract to Norwich-based Prescribing Services to enhance its population health management (PHM) and risk stratification capabilities.

The contract, which runs through to September 2027, forms part of the ICB’s wider strategy to use data more effectively in identifying health needs and delivering targeted interventions across the region. Through bespoke digital platforms and analytics tools, the aim is to improve how local services understand and respond to community health trends.

The initiative is expected to support earlier identification of high-risk individuals and enable more proactive care delivery. In addition to risk stratification, the work will focus on making PHM data accessible across NHS teams and partner organisations to ensure aligned decision-making and more consistent care pathways.

Security, governance, and compliance are also central to the contract, ensuring safe handling of sensitive health data across all participating services.

This development follows a broader shift across integrated care systems in the UK, where digital infrastructure and real-time insights are playing a growing role in tackling health inequalities, streamlining service planning, and improving patient outcomes.
